One Resident has been surprised with a little birthday party during her respite stay at HC-One’s Carrington Court care home in Hindley, Manchester.
Barbara wasn’t expecting a big fuss to be made of her birthday this year as she is a temporary Resident of the home but Colleagues had a different idea and were determined to celebrate the big day with her.
Barbara spent time chatting to the ladies in the home and enjoyed a nice sing song. She even had two birthday cakes.
Barbara said: “You didn’t have to go to so much trouble.”
She spent most of her day on the telephone chatting to her friends and family who all wished her a very happy birthday. When she wasn’t on the phone, she was the centre of attention at Carrington Court as Residents and Colleagues joined in with her celebrations.
Carrington Court Colleague, Katie, said: “I’m happy to see Barbara smiling and enjoying herself today as she usually keeps to herself.”
