Tetbury care home grow beautiful sunflowersHC One’s Ilsom House care home have been busy sowing seeds and growing plants this week.

Colleagues at the Tetbury care home planted sunflower seeds that have been successfully growing in the beautiful sunlit lounge on the window ledge.

Both the Residents and staff have been watering the plants, making sure they keep hydrated and growing until they were ready to be moved outside.

The sunflowers were then placed into large terracotta pots in the garden.

Now the Residents can watch them grow every time they go out into the garden on lovely sunny days like today!

One of the Residents said “I love spending time outside in the beautiful weather and keeping an eye on the sunflowers.”

Residents also did some flower arranging which are now brightening up the dining room, they really enjoyed taking part.

Another Resident commented “I love the smell of the flowers and I’m excited to see the progress of the sunflowers outside too!”
