Today over at Ghyll Grove care home in Basildon, Essex, one of the Residents on the Chelmer Unit is the owner of a beautiful little budgie.
She said that she felt the colourful bird was a little lonely on his own and asked if one of the Colleagues at the care home would like to take him home. That’s when Steve from the maintenance team stepped in and thought of something even better!
The home has an outdoor cage where all of the other birds reside and after careful consideration, decided that the little budgie would fit in perfectly well with the other resident birds.
Recently documented, he now has a best friend in there and is so happy now he sings and sits with the other birds and he has really special bond with one budgie in particular.
All the residents are happy that the budgie has plenty of friends now
One Resident commented, “What a lovely idea, I do love birds.”
