The mystery of the dusty old Bridport photosWhilst clearing out some very dusty cupboards, the wellbeing lead found some old documents and photographs at St James Park care home in Dorset.

Colleagues presumed that they were from a previous Resident before the time of HC One. There was a name but nothing more… ‘Miss P’. But with a little research, they found that this person lived in Chideock, a small village not far away from here.

The Home Manager, Gordon Collins, contacted the Chideock History Society, who did not know of any living relatives for ‘Miss P’, but they offered to take the pictures and documents as she was a school teacher in the local village and many people may have known her. The society are going to continue the search for relatives and will also display the items in the Chideock Church Hall on open days.

Everyone Loved the pictures and the work references from 1925, almost 100 years ago!

Home Manager, Gordon Collins, remarked, “It is nice not to lose history, just a little research and we might help to pass on those family memories.”
