Tigerlily Trust kindly donate to Kendal care homeHC-One’s Summerhill care home in Kendal have been the recipients of some kind donations from the Tigerlily Trust to assist in helping their Residents and Relatives cope through this tough time.

Summerhill were very appreciative of being chosen to receive a donation from the Tigerlily Trust this month, after going through a tough time due to the current climate. The trust kindly donated a remembrance box for Colleagues to give out to families who can currently visit their loved ones.

The boxes contain a two-piece keyring, one for the Resident to keep and one for the family, two hand knitted love hearts one for the Resident and one for the family and also various relaxation aids for the families to help them through these hard times.

Residents at Summerhill thought this was a wonderful idea and that it really goes to show how caring the local community is.

One Summerhill Resident said: “What a truly wonderful thing to do, being able to keep a heart and pass one on to family makes me feel like we're still connected.”

The Tigerlily Trust does amazing things and Colleagues at Summerhill are really grateful to be a part of their work.

Sean Moore, Summerhill wellbeing coordinator said: "These boxes are lovely and to know that we were thought of during these uncertain times is a nice morale boost for us all. I want to say a huge thankyou to Valerie Isherwood for helping to make this happen.”
