Tividale Residents watch and rememberAt Warrens Hall care home, in the West Midlands, both Colleagues and Residents have been marking Remembrance Day together.

Firstly, everyone watched the annual Remembrance ceremony broadcast on television while enjoying a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows.

Residents enjoyed the hot chocolate and marshmallows; one remarking, “I’ve never seen a drink like that before, it looks lovely and tastes delicious!”

Colleagues decorated the home with poppies and Union Jack flags, as well as a member of the team who bought in her son’s (who is a solider) uniform to display for everyone to see.

Afterwards, Residents enjoyed listening to 1940s songs and having a sing along with the team.

One Resident said, “Our morning has been lovely, it’s been a time for reminiscence and to be grateful for what we have.”

Home Manager of Warrens Hall, Kalmit Jagpal, commented, “It was lovely to see everyone together, enjoying what was another memorable day. Oh, and the hot chocolate was divine.”
