Ukulele Paul has a virtual visit to Bath care homeColleague Leanne at HC One’s Avonpark care home, set up a special ukulele zoom call for the Residents.

Leanne arranged for Ukulele Piddle (aka Paul Levy) to do a Zoom session for the Residents at the Bath care home today.

Paul sang songs that the Residents knew and they all joined in singing along.

Paul also chatted to the Residents and said some funny jokes. Paul made sure to involve all the Residents by adding their names to certain songs, it’s so great to be able to have someone they used to love seeing in the home be able to interactive with them thanks to technology.

One of the Residents commented “I really let my hair down and had a good sing song.”

To go along with the zoom call there was coffee, tea and biscuits provided for the Residents to enjoy.

There was five Residents that were able to go and watch Ukulele Piddle on the TV screen.  2 carers were able to join as and when they could too, and Natasha the homes wellbeing coordinator overseeing the session.

Jack from the maintenance team set up the zoom call and made sure the volume was loud enough for the Residents to hear Ukulele Piddle.

Overall it was a really fantastic session which all the Residents enjoyed. The home is planning to do another session in December too.
