Upcycling project at Upwood care homeResidents and team members at HC-One’s Manor House care home in Upwood, Ramsey have been busy transforming an old rowing boat into a beautiful garden planter.

In effort to get Residents outside in the fresh air, the team arranged a special upcycling project to transform an old rowing boat into a garden feature. Everyone offered a helping hand to spray the boat a delightful range of bright colours and planting some seasonal plants that will bloom at different times throughout the seasons, giving the garden a lovely aspect all year round.

Everyone at Manor House is pleased with the final result, one Resident commented: “I think the rowing boat has brought a new lease of life to the garden, what a lovely addition.”

Manor House Home Manager, Bhekimpilo Perelion said: “I am pleased that everyone enjoyed taking part in our upcycling project, the boat looks amazing.”
