Residents at HC-One’s Callands care home have enjoyed celebrating in the home as they commemorated the 75th anniversary of VE day.
Everyone in the home observed a two minute silence before enjoying a selection of cakes and treats and then going on to take part in a sing-along in the garden, listening to some old time favourites.
The gardens were decorated wonderfully in red, white and blue as Residents shared memories with one another about their war time experiences.
One Resident remarked: “we have had such a lovely morning, it was even more special to see one of the members of staff wearing their cadet uniform in honour of today.”
