Wakefield care home Residents visit donkey sanctuaryBill, Jean and Violet, Residents at HC-One’s Carr Gate care home in Wakefield visited Wonkey Donkey Visitors Centre in Knottingley on Wednesday 12th September. 

Three animal loving Residents visited the donkey sanctuary, which rescues donkeys from all of the United Kingdom. The group discovered more about the sanctuary helps the nurse the donkeys back to health and provides the best quality of life for each donkey.

After spending time admiring all of the lovely donkeys, Bill Jean and Violet enjoyed a delicious lunch and a cup of tea in the on-site cafĂ© before heading back to Carr Gate. A great time was had by all, the group agreed that they had wonderful time learning about the amazing work that happens at the Wonkey Donkey sanctuary.
