Wallyford care home Resident celebrates 89th birthdayA Resident at HC-One’s Drummohr care home in Wallyford recently celebrated her 89th birthday and had a special visit to mark the occasion.

Margaret Martin turned 89 on 15th July and was surprised to be visited by her daughter who was now allowed to visit her in the garden after strict visiting restrictions were lifted at the home.

Wallyford Colleagues also gathered in the garden as Margaret’s daughter visited to sing ‘Happy Birthday’. After this, Margaret said bye to her daughter and headed inside with Colleagues to enjoy an afternoon tea.

At the afternoon tea, Margaret and other Residents all enjoyed a classic English spread, with scones, sandwiches, crisps and tea on offer. Margaret’s gorgeous chocolate birthday cake was then presented and shared with other Residents in the home who thoroughly enjoyed it.

Margaret Martin, a Resident at Drummohr said: “I have had a lovely day and it was great to see my daughter.”

Drummohr Home Manager, Mirelle Fyvie said: “We were delighted to reunite Margaret with her daughter and seeing all of our Residents enjoying a bit of her birthday cake.”
