Walsall care home celebrates Pride monthResidents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Ash Grange care home enjoyed themselves this week as they began their Pride celebrations during the ‘stop the clock’ activity.

Everyone stopped what they were doing to team up and make some decorations for the celebration, with only one exciting rule – you have only one chance to grab your materials to use, and must only use these.

Residents found this to be very exciting, and everyone took the 30 minutes to complete their decorations, using as many colours and arts and crafts supplies as they could.

To make it even more exciting, it was made into a competition where the artwork was judged and ranked in first, second or third place, with Residents laughing and cheering when the winners were announced.

The Residents then decided that the decorations should be placed on the LGBTQ+ notice board in the home and they were hung for all to enjoy over the month.

One Resident remarked: “I’ve really enjoyed having some healthy competition, it’s been wonderful to make such beautiful pictures.”
