HC-One’s River Court care home Colleagues were so pleased and surprised to have received a special delivery from Watford Football Club on Tuesday 26th May.
The delivery, left outside the home, contained a wonderful gift in the form of a selection of iced cupcakes which read ‘Thank You Carers’, as well as posters and booklets from the football club.
Colleagues at the home were so moved to have received such a thoughtful gift, as they remarked how thankful they were to feel that their local club were supporting them during such unprecedented times.
The cakes were distributed throughout the staff members, with all of the football items being handed out to the Residents due to them being avid supports of Watford FC.
The gifts made everyone’s day in the home, even more so as the club called the home manager directly to ensure they were happy with the gifts, and agreed to welcome the Residents for a stadium tour at the next possible opportunity.
Bijoy Philip, home manager, remarked: “It’s great to know that our local club are supporting us through these times, these gifts definitely put a smile on everyone’s faces.”
