West Bromwich care home Resident enjoys family trip outOne Resident at Lyndon Hall nursing, residential memory and nursing memory care home, off All Saints Way, has gone out on her first outdoor trip since the beginning of the pandemic, and what a fantastic time for all!

Elizabeth “Betty” Williams, pictured, had only seen her family for brief window or pod visits throughout the last year. She was longing to go to the park and enjoy some fish ‘n’ chips outdoors.

So today, Betty’s grandson, Ashley, surprised her with a visit and took her to the local park for some lunch, now that restrictions allow this.

As you can see from the pictures, Betty was so happy. She enjoyed some food which was followed by an ice-cream with her great-granddaughter.

Betty’s family were so happy to see her happy and smiling. Betty remarked, “"When can I go again?!”

Julie Hurst, Registered Home Manager, commented, “I hope our new normal allows us the freedom safely to give our Residents what they are longing for.”

“Covid has affected so many lives and to have a little normality in her day made such a difference.”
