West Sussex care home Residents enjoy a morning tippleResidents can now enjoy a morning tipple after Colleagues introduced a new mid-morning refreshments trolley to HC-One’s Charters Court care home in East Grinstead, West Sussex.

Residents can choose from Baileys, sherry or even a drop of whisky as a mid-morning treat as they relax at the home. There is also a selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate or plenty of soft drinks to choose from.

Ivy, a Resident at Charters Court, said: “What a great idea. I do like a morning cuppa and a chat.”

The Residents love the new addition and are enjoying having a cheeky tipple or a hot chocolate to warm up the cold February mornings. Most can’t resist an accompanying Kit-Kat or a couple of biscuits.

Home Resident Pat commented: “I can hear the trolley rattling when I’m in my room and it makes me smile.”

It is a very welcome addition to the home as everyone enjoys a mid-morning snack and a good chat with each other or with the Wellbeing Coordinator serving drinks.

Charters Court Home Manager, Melanie Wrightman, said: “It’s so good to see our Residents enjoying these extra treats. The trolley is a good way to keep Residents hydrated. There is a great selection of drinks already but we are always open to suggestions.”
