Westbury Resident marks 65th birthday with a 50s partyThe Westbury care home, which offers residential and nursing care, as well as care for people with physical disabilities, has been dressed to the nines today to celebrate Resident Brian’s birthday.

Eight fellow Residents and Colleagues helped Brian to celebrate his 65th birthday. Music from the year Brian was born (1956) was played to mark the occasion, as well as a socially distanced party and lots of games.

Brian had a scrumptious birthday cake, and a spread including pork pies, sausage rolls, sandwiches and pastries, as well as a selection of drinks including sherry, baileys and wine.

Brian commented, “Thank you for helping me celebrate my birthday.”

Betty, who also lives at the home, said, “It was so nice seeing Brian smiling and enjoying his birthday.”

Dana Sandu, Care Home Manager, said, “Brian loved the music from the fifties and the variety of food (including his birthday cake). What a great day he had!”
