Westquarter care home celebrate food based activities NAPA competition winColleagues at HC-One’s Barleystone Court care home in Westquarter are celebrating a recent NAPA competition win, in the food based activities category.

When NAPA ran a competition about food based activities, Barleystone Court’s wellbeing coordinator Morag did not hesitate to enter using smoothie tasting sessions as an example.  The Residents had enjoyed making and tasting the smoothies at the time of the activity, so it was definitely worth a try.

Morag was totally surprised when she received an email to say that she had the winning entry and had won an activity pack for the home.

Wellbeing coordinator, Morag said: “I did not expect to win but I was over the moon that I did, so that the Residents can now benefit from the prize.”

Residents can now look forward to enjoying a activities pack provided to the home by NAPA, but they will definitely still continue having smoothie taster sessions too.

Barleystone Court Home Manager Pamela Cummings said: “I am delighted that Morag has won this award and that NAPA recognise all her hard work, the prize will definitely benefit Residents.”
