Westwood Lodge travels back to the 70sEvery month Colleagues and Residents from Westwood lodge care home, in Manchester, travel back in time to a period from the last century. This month we travelled back in time to the 1970’s.

The Wellbeing Coordinators brought Residents famous food and drinks from the 70’s such as, Babycham, Black Forrest Gateau, Artic Roll, a selection of cheeses, sausages and pickles on sticks, as well as quiche; which were displayed and wheeled around on the trolley (see picture).

The Residents loved trying all the different foods and telling Colleagues of their memories from the 70s.

“I used to love drinking Babycham; it brings back so many memories,” one Resident said.

Another Resident, Valorie Banks, remarked to the wellbeing Colleagues, “I love all of the different ideas that you both come up with, it is like living in a posh hotel with all of these treats.”
