Seven Residents from HC-One’s Eastbourne House in Whitley Bay enjoyed a day trip to Carlisle to visit the castle and military museum on Tuesday 20th August.
The group arrived in Carlisle and headed to the military museum, which explores the 300 year story of the country’s infantry regiment, Residents shared their memories of growing up and working during the war. Everyone also stopped at Carlisle castle and enjoyed a delicious picnic lunch before heading back to Eastbourne House.
Muriel Milne, a Resident at Eastbourne House said: “Thank you for today, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being out of the home and being outdoors.”
Debbie White, home manager at Eastbourne House commented: “It was lovely to hear about the wonderful day everyone had in Carlisle, the museum was a highlight for most.”
