A trip out to Barton Grange Garden Centre and The Flower Bowl Entertainment Centre was taken today by four Residents at
Westwood Lodge nursing and end-of-life care home, in Brookview, accompanied by four Colleagues.
Residents Ken Brown, James McCann, Peggy Rooney and Eileen Pendlebury, and Colleagues Chloe Webb, Ashley Riley, Tracey Harris and Michelle Waering, (all pictured), enjoyed dinner at The Ocean Restaurant before going to the centres.
During the trip everyone had a browse of the wonderful plants on offer and had a great time! Everyone really enjoyed being out and seeing new places they have never visited.
Ken Brown remarked, “I have really enjoyed today; the fish and chips were lovely.”
James added, “The place is brilliant; I have really enjoyed it.”
Finally Peggy said “I have had a wonderful day, thank you so much for bringing me.”
Chloe, who is the home’s Wellbeing Coordinator, commented, “We love seeing the Residents enjoying themselves, it makes our job very rewarding.”
