Wiltshire Care home Residents go on an Argentina journeyOnce a month Residents at The Westbury care home in Wiltshire go on a travelling destination of their choice and this month they chose Argentina!

Colleagues decorated the lounge with Argentinian flags and bunting. The Residents were given their very own passport to enter Argentina (which was actually the lounge)

Residents enjoyed a menu full of Argentinian cuisine including Chimichurri, Provoleta and Empanadas - All cooked in the home by the chef.

The Residents then all joined in for a quiz about Argentina, followed by some singing and dancing kindly demonstrated by the care team. They liked the variety of different food to sample, the quiz, and the carers dancing to Argentinian music

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed this event and are very much looking forward to the next one which will be Oktoberfest next month. The daughter of one of the Residents was shocked to know that her father agreed to come downstairs, as he will never leave his room, and join in the activities. He lived in Argentina for a few years and was very happy to join the party.

The Home Manager was impressed with the thought and effort put into this event and is looking forward to see what the next one is like!
