Following on from last month’s theme of travelling around the world, Residents at Wiltshire based care home, The Westbury, stopped off in Hamburg, Germany, to celebrate Oktoberfest.
The event consisted of food and the traditional beer of Oktoberfest. German Frankfurters, Frikadellen Patties, Pomme Frites with a curry sauce and of course dessert was a lovely piece of gateaux. All washed down with traditional German beer.
The Residents took part in a quiz all about Germany, they enjoyed watching the Colleagues sin and dance on the new karaoke machine, which they found very enjoyable.
Resident Shirley said, “I enjoyed this event the most as I always wanted to go to Oktoberfest in Germany but never go the chance.”
Another Resident Mary, said she is looking forward to the next travels as she is enjoying these events very much.
Roger, who also lives at The Westbury, was very impressed with the German style food.
