Wiltshire home marks remembrance with poppiesThe Residents at The Westbury care home gathered in the lounge today to mark Remembrance Sunday.

Everyone watched the service on television accompanied by a cup of tea and slice of cake while they watched the broadcast on BBC One.

Many of the Residents sat and created some lovely poppies made from tissue paper as they remembered family and friends they lost during the war.

One Resident said, “The service was lovely to watch but I did miss watching all the whole parade that is normally on.”

Mary, who lives at The Westbury, said, “I am glad the government didn’t cancel this day as well.”

Roger, another Resident, enjoyed listening to everyone’s experiences during the war.
