Winsford Residents having a sweet timeThe Colleagues at Overdene House care home have been treating all Residents to an “Olde Sweet Day”.

All the sweets from their childhood were included in a beautiful decorated trolley which had been designed and spruced up to look like an old-fashioned sweet shop. The activity helped to bring back some great memories for the Residents who had a lovely chat about the old days.

Resident Joan said, “What a lovely thing and they look so nice. They tasted like they did when I was young.”

The smiles the sweet trolley brought to the faces of the Residents was fabulous and the Home’s Manager, Catherine Burns, enjoyed serving them out, commenting, “It was so nice to see everyone enjoying the taste of their childhood. We had a lovely time serving the sweets to the Residents; their smiles made my day!”
