At HC-One’s The Westbury care home, which offers residential and nursing care, as well as care for people with physical disabilities, World Penguin Day was celebrated today.
Colleagues and Residents celebrated the day together by doing all things penguin related; they discussed the life of the penguins and their habitat, browsed through photos and had a short quiz too. Everyone contributed to make it a day with a difference and it was a shared experience enjoyed by all as well as engaging with Residents and helping to make the day special.
One Resident said, “The baby penguins are sweet.”
Dana Sandu, Care Home Manager, commented, “We always try and get on board with national days where we can learn interesting things and share this together. The penguin day went down a treat!”
