HC One’s Pennwood Lodge care home sent a wonderful to Roots Independent Street Team.
Staff at the Wotton-Under-Edge care home collected food at harvest time and decided to donate to Roots Independent Street Team which is a charity that supports the homeless in many ways.
The charity was brought to the homes attention by Carly Neil who is part of the team at the charity, she also works at Pennwood as a carer.
Carly will be cooking meals for the homeless in the local area. Carly said “I’d like to say a big thank-you from everyone at Independent Street Team.”
Julie Hill, the homes wellbeing coordinator, commented “It was interesting to hear about the charity’s good work and we were more than happy to donate to such a good cause.”
