Penwood Lodge care home are proud to open the newly refurbished dementia unit with communal garden area.
The home was finally able to see all of the hard work come together, opening up their newly refurbished dementia unit. It was exciting to finally be able to welcome the first resident, Connie Ashford, who came to live here from Surrey.
Connie was pleased to be a part of the whole event, and cut the ribbon to officially open up the unit. After this there was plenty of tea and chocolate cake which was enjoyed by Colleagues of the home, Residents and Relatives.
Connie commented ‘What a warm welcome, all the girls are very smiley. I really enjoyed the tea and cake too!’
The home wanted to mention a special thank-you to Lea Bruton and Maureen Russell for their support and amazing team work during the refurbishment.
