Yew Trees sports, biscuit decorating and seaside themed diningOn 4th June today at Yew Trees residential memory care home, in Dukinfield, Residents had an outdoor sports play bowls parachute game.

Residents took it in turns to throw the ball and there were lots of chatting about football in the sports club. Due to the lovely weather, some Residents went inside for a tea break. Everyone enjoyed the weather and being relaxed outside on a lovely summer’s day.

Also, this week on Friday it was ‘National Fish and Chips Day’. So, at dinner Colleagues dressed the dining area to look like a traditional seaside cafĂ©, with a fish and chips theme. Residents enjoyed the day and topped it off with an afternoon of puzzles including mazes and word searches with lots of cups of tea!

Today Residents enjoyed biscuit decorating with chocolate and sprinkles, while others were doing some word searches.

Afternoon refreshments were served. One of the Residents said, “I enjoyed decorating my biscuits and eating them.”

Lynda Bulley, Wellbeing Coordinator, remarked, “Residents thought it was so much fun, but the highlight was definitely eating the biscuits!”
