A country park run out for Swallownest ResidentsTwo of the Residents at Sheffield’s Swallownest care home, which offers residential and nursing care, enjoyed a lovely afternoon at the local country park.

Residents Mavis Walker and Roger Dunwell, both pictured, were accompanied by Colleagues, who took deck chairs so they could watch the water sports. Both Residents enjoyed ice-creams and a cup of tea and coffee as they sat watching the various water sports taking place.

There was also some free entertainment from the ducks! The sun was shining but with a very nice cool breeze from the water it was a perfect afternoon.

Resident Mavis walker came to our home from Fuerteventura where she had resided for a number of years. Mavis came in the easing of the lockdown and has not been out since she arrived therefore it was lovely to be able to take her out today!

“I can’t thank you enough for inviting me to come here with you” she commented.

Amanda Fields, Home Manager, commented, “On returning to the home the Residents told me they had a very enjoyable afternoon!”
