A fluffy visitor at Park House care homeResidents at Park House, residential and residential memory care home, in Guisborough, had a lovely visit from a friendship dog.

A follow-on visit from friendship dog Harvey, a new visitor came to the home. Poppy, a border terrier came to visit the Residents. She is owned by Wag & Co, friendship dog company, to end loneliness for older people.

Poppy has been a friendship dog for quite some time, a poster of Poppy was sent, from her owner Andy to the Residents during lockdown, letting them know she had missed them and would see the Residents soon.

The Residents were delighted to see Poppy. Poppy loved to be cuddled and was more than happy to snuggle into the Residents. The sun was shining in the garden, but it was cool, so the Residents got wrapped up to see and cuddle Poppy.

One Resident, said, “It is so lovely to have Poppy back, I love snuggle time with Poppy.”

Another Resident, added, “It was a joy to have Wag & Co. back at our home, all be it in the garden.”

Care Home Manager, Julie Woods, commented, “Andy and Poppy are part of our Park House family.”
