A glass of gin after Huddersfield Residents get the coronavirus vaccineResidents at HC-One’s White Rose care home in Thongsbridge, Holmfirth spent a fun afternoon sipping on gin and planning their yearly events now that they have had their coronavirus vaccination.

The home is now one step closer to returning to some normality and Residents are looking forward to eventually being reunited with their loved ones once the government give the go-ahead.

Residents had their vaccine last month as part of the mass roll-out across the UK. Now they are looking towards the future and planning their activities for the year.

Residents took part in a meeting to give feedback about their favourite activities and events, all while taste-testing different gins and snacking on cheese and crackers.

The gin went down very well as one Resident commented: “We need another meeting like this. This is the best one yet!”

After organising their events diary for the year, Residents and Colleagues enjoyed a sing and a dance to celebrate getting their vaccinations.

White Rose Home Manager, Jodie Seymour, said: “It was nice to see everyone dancing and singing and having a good time. The next event we’re going to have is a fish and chip supper.”
