August news from Roxburgh HouseResidents at HC-One’s Roxburgh House residential and residential dementia care home, in Cradley Heath, have taken part in lots of activities this August including skittles and balloon volley!

Carers Christine and Amy organised a balloon volley game, whereby Residents needed to keep the balloon up in the air which was great fun (and exercise too!)

Irene, who is a Resident at the home, really enjoyed herself while playing with fellow Resident Pat who joked and laughed all the way through!

Today, Colleagues and Residents also decided to have a game of skittles, pictured. Everyone enjoyed seeing how many skittles they could knock down, which was great fun! The afternoon was filled with laughs, smiles and giggles! One of the Residents said, “Smiling keeps you alive!”

Jo, who is a senior at the home, played Jenga with Eileen who beat her at the game and had such concentration, and competitiveness, throughout. She asked immediately for another rematch.

Jo commented, “Great fun was had by all!”
