Autumn themed arts and crafts at Market Lavington reunites old friendsAn autumn themed arts and crafts session at Market Lavington residential, nursing and residential memory care home, in Devizes, this afternoon, with residents colouring in templates of an assortment of leaves.

It was a lovely group and the first time some of the Residents had been able to join this kind of activity group, which brings a delightful part of this story! Two of the Residents recognised each other from many years ago when they used to attend the same ladies club in Melksham! The recognition didn’t happen instantly but when it did, the two ladies, Wendy Lawrence and Peggy Amor, were very happy at this completely accidental reunion and now that Colleagues are aware of this, they look forward to supporting these two ladies for a regular meet-up during their time here!

Peggy commented, “How lovely to see Wendy again after all this time!”

Jo remarked, “I enjoyed colouring the leaves and it was also fun squishing the modelling clay into shapes too!”

Riaz Ali, Wellbeing Coordinator, added, “It was a lovely group to hold on such a sunny afternoon and everyone enjoyed themselves.”
