Bingham care home Residents enjoy cool treatResidents at HC-One’s Beauvale care home were enjoying the warm sunshine when they were surprised by the twinkling sound of an ice cream van entering the home’s grounds after Colleagues had arranged the visit.

The van stopped outside the home, as Residents each stood and decided what they would like to have, Colleagues helped them collect their selected ice cream treat before they all sat to enjoy them.

Some Residents were even more excited as it had been years since they had an ice cream like this, with some remarking that it brought back memories of their childhoods.

Home Manager, Annette Adams, commented: “The Residents were so pleased with this surprise – it was lovely to see everyone smiling.”

In the town of Bingham, in the countryside east of Nottingham, Beauvale is a delightful, purpose-built care home with 35 beds, offering residential, nursing and memory care, for those living with dementia.
