Bingham Residents enjoy summer themed afternoon with entertainerToday at Nottingham’s Beauvale residential, nursing and memory care home, Residents and staff dressed up in the summer attire and brought the sunshine indoors.

Residents paddled in the pool and buried their feet in sand. They also had fun playing traditional sunny day games such as ‘Tin Can Alley’ and ‘Hook-a-Duck’. Colleagues also got the beach ball and bubbles out.

This was followed by a fish and chip lunch with traditional newspaper.

In the afternoon everyone was entertained by an outside singer, for the first time in almost a year, whilst enjoying yummy doughnuts and candy floss

Residents thoroughly enjoyed the day, with one commenting on the entertainer, “It was a long time coming but worth the wait!”

Colleague Lyndsey Lovegrove, who organised the day, said, “Residents loved sticking their feet in the sand and really enjoyed the entertainer! It has been a great day and lovely to see so many smiles and lots of laughter!”
