Today at
Wombwell Hall in Kent, which provides nursing care, birthday celebrations were in full swing for one Resident.
Patricia, a Resident at Wombwell Hall was delighted to start her birthday with a visit from her children and other family members. She was able to open presents and cards with them. Later in the day Patricia came into the lounge area where the room had been setup for her birthday. She enjoyed music in there and of course some cake! Everybody had sung happy birthday to Pat when she came in.
Patricia commented afterwards on how lovely all the decorations were, even asking to have some put onto her walker! She put lots of praise onto the staff and Residents for helping make this day so special. The homes Chef had made the cake for a special added touch, which would come as no surprise was what the other Residents liked the most about the day.
Colleagues mentioned “It’s so lovely to see Pat happy and enjoying herself” with Becki, the Home Manager saying, “All the staff came together and made Pat feel special, and that’s wonderful to see”.
