The Residents at Old Gates care home, celebrated VE Day this week by dressing up in patriotic attire and settling down to watch the commemorations on tv.
A buffet was arranged and music from the period was played. Residents enjoyed a singalong to songs that marked the end of the war. Each unit was decorated for the day.
Residents said they couldn't wait to tell their Relatives about the enjoyment they had with the decorations and the chance to dress up.
Christy Udoewa, Activities Coordinator, said, “I feel like that the day was a success and I personally feel fulfilled seeing how happy this day has made the Residents.”
