Bolton care home introduce new dignity dolls to ResidentsToday Colleagues at HC-One’s Meadowbank House residential and nursing care home, in Bolton, introduced the new dignity dolls to some of the Residents, which has gone down very well indeed!

The Residents were sat in the lounge and noticed them straight away. Colleagues took some over to a couple of the Residents and they were admiring the dolls and saying how much they liked them.

They were then handed out to the Residents, including Maureen, Betty, Elsie and ellen, who were asked if they would look after them.

Some of the team went in to the lounge to talk to the Residents about their new friends, and commented how happy and giddy they were. Everyone involved loved the different dolls; there are weighted dolls and some rag dolls.

One of the Residents said, “Ah they are all beautiful, I don't know which one to look after?"

Jane Green, Care Home Manager, remarked, “It was nice to see how the Residents interacted with the dolls, two of the Residents, Maureen and Betty had the dolls talking to each other.”
