Bonfire Night at the WestburyThe Residents at HC-One’s the Westbury residential and nursing care home, in Wiltshire, really enjoyed Bonfire Night (and day!)

Firstly, bingo was requested by many Residents and then they had a singalong accompanied with a bonfire supper which consisted of hot dogs, beef burgers, chips, baked potato and a vegan option.

Then all the Residents involved, wrapped up warm and joined Colleagues in the garden under a gazebo; other Residents watched from their windows as the chimenea was burning safely.

There was a firework display which everyone enjoyed, afterwards there were hot chocolate with marshmallows and a buffet consisting of sherry, baileys, hot drinks, and a delicious selection of food. There was also a lovely cake decorated as a bonfire, baked by the chef

Residents enjoyed the fireworks, and many said that the hot chocolate was delicious. One Resident remarked, “Thank you for a lovely evening. The fireworks were very good!”

Colleagues involved including Jacqui, Janet, Annaliese and Kieran all agreed that it was a lovely afternoon and evening enjoyed by all!
