Bonfire night celebrations at Dingle MeadowThis month at Dingle Meadow in the West Midlands, which offers residential and residential dementia care, Residents have been enjoying bonfire night.

Residents at Dingle Meadow have been enjoying a wonderful firework display which was organised by the Wellbeing Coordinators in the care home. Fortunately, it was a beautiful clear night in Oldbury, perfect for fireworks for watching the fireworks. There was a tea party before the fireworks began with the kitchen providing catering for the Residents which included a nice range of party foods such as hot dogs, burgers, chips, and a spread of different sandwiches.

After the tea party had finished, Residents got their winter coats on and sat in the garden to watch the display, which was lit by Dave, the Maintenance operative at Dingle Meadow. Everybody who attended had expressed how great the fireworks looked and what a lovely evening it was. One Resident said, “What a beautiful display it was, and a lovely clear evening as well you can’t ask for more”.

Emma, the Home Manager, commented afterwards, “It was nice to see the Residents enjoying the display that was put on, hearing them clapping and gasping as they went off was really nice”.
