Brighter days at Birmingham care homeResidents at HC-One’s Hodge Hill Grange care home in Birmingham were delighted to go into the homes garden as the sun decided to show itself throughout April.

After a touch year, it was amazing for Residents at Hodge Hill to finally get the chance to enjoy a full day in the garden. Residents have previously been in the garden but only for a short amount of time, due to restrictions and the weather.

But as the restrictions have eased and the weather has improved, Residents are now able to enjoy full days in the garden, with the patio doors thrown open for everyone to walk out and around the grounds whenever they would like.

Rita Cox, a Resident at Hodge Hill could not wait to get outside and requested to go sit outside the garden by her room to enjoy a nice cup of tea and cake supplied by the kitchen staff.

‘Lovely’ was the word Rita kept using to describe her experience, which will go a long way in improving her wellbeing and health.

“It was nice to see Residents just enjoying the bright sun and we look forward to more good weather to help cheer Residents and staff up,” said Hodge Hill Home Manager, Lazarus Staziyo.

Conveniently located in a peaceful residential area of Birmingham, Hodge Hill Grange is a purpose-built care home with 52 beds, offering residential, nursing and residential dementia care.
