Bringing out the inner baker for Lincolnshire care home ResidentsIn preparation for Harvest Festival everyone at HC-One’s Clarendon Hall residential and nursing care home, in Humberston, decided they wanted to have a go at making corn dollies.

Chef Julie made the dough mix to help and then the Residents had the opportunity to make their own with Wellbeing Coordinator Hayley helping out as needed.

The dollies will be used as part of the display at the Harvest Festival service.

Residents including John Scott, Ruby Wilkinson and Marjorie Forster (all pictured) had a go at making the dollies, which turned out fantastically, although Hayley had to be reminded by Jean Kelly, who is a Resident, to go and check on the cooking of the corn dollies (which was just in time!)

John Scott commented, “It’s brought out the baker in me!”

Nicola Walker, Home Manager, remarked, “I am impressed with them, absolutely fantastic job.”
