Broadway Residents get green-fingeredAt nursing and residential care home, Brompton House, the county has had some beautiful weather lately, so everyone has been taking full advantage with a spot of gardening.

As the beautiful weather has approached the Cotswold Village Residents have enjoyed doing some gardening. Many of the ladies have joined Colleagues to plant seeds of flowers and vegetables in the garden area.

This brought a lot of joy to Residents and also gave them an opportunity for Colleagues to learn new facts about flowers and the plants that grow in the garden as some Residents were full of knowledge.

The home will soon see the benefits of the hard work.

The Residents also enjoyed some refreshments and snacks and some music from their favourite artists.

One Resident commented, “I really felt like I am at home again, I really missed my garden.”

Everyone loved the sunshine and being able to sit outside and enjoying what they used to do in their own homes.

Julie, Activities Coordinator, said, “It was lovely to see Residents so involved in making the garden so beautiful, and sharing their memories about their own homes.”
