Caol care home receives Healthy Living AwardHC-One’s Moss Park care home in Caol, Fort William is celebrating having recently been awarded a prestigious Healthy Living Award by NHS Scotland, demonstrating that the care home is working to the national standards of good practice.

Moss Park Head Chef, Javier Sanchez, supported by catering team members, Krisitine Kuprikova, Yvonne MacPherson and Elina Grase work hard to provide nutritional meals made with fresh ingredients each day for the home’s Residents. 

The menus are regularly reviewed by Residents, their families and members of the team at Moss Park, to ensure that the home continues to provide a balanced and varied diet for Residents. The salt and sugar content of the food at Moss Park has been drastically reduced and replaced with healthier ingredients, including, more fresh fruit and vegetables.

Moss Park is dedicated to promoting healthier living choices for both Residents and staff, some team members have undertaken healthy living training which the home hopes will lead to more people becoming ambassadors for healthy living in the care home and the wider community. 

Located on St John’s Road, Moss Park offers nursing and nursing memory care for older members of the community, the home is currently in refurbishment program and boasts a 9.7/10 average user rating on the sectors leading comparison website, carehome.co.uk.
