Today at
Woodlands View in Hertfordshire, which offers residential, nursing and nursing dementia care, one Colleague has been celebrating his 20 years of service.
Shawn Heppenstall, the Head Chef at Woodlands View, has been given a 20 years of service award by HC-One. He started at the care home in 2001 and has seen many changes over the years to Woodlands View. Shawn regularly speaks with the Residents to make sure they are enjoying what’s on the menu, what can improve and also to keep up to date with any specific dietary requirements anybody might have.
To celebrate this award and Harvest festival, Shawn has baked a special loaf of fresh bread for the Residents to have. It was very popular amongst them and received lots of praise by everybody.
Whilst Shawn had worked at a couple of other care homes, he said “my loyalty had always been at Woodlands View, I’m glad I am here to receive this award”.
Deby, the Home Manager presented the certificate to him and said, “Shawn is an asset to Woodlands View and a highly respected member of our team”.
