At
Old Gates residential, nursing and nursing dementia care home, in Feniscowles, everyone has been celebrating the annual Black History Month by tasting some delicious Jamaican cuisine.
Residents and staff tucked into chicken Jerla and curry and there were some very positive comments indeed. One Resident said, “The food is very nice and tasty. It’s a bit different, we should do it again.”
Another Resident added, “Not too spicy, just right!”
Helen Holden, Care Home Manager, also loved the food, stating, “There’s so many lovely dishes to choose from. I love the cauliflower dish and it was lovely seeing everyone sample to menu.”
