Celebrating dogs and bow ties at Dudley care homeOver the last two days, Residents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Ashgrove care home, in Netherton, have been celebrating National Bow Tie Day and National Dog Day!

Yesterday, Colleagues took it in turns to bring their fur babies in to the home to meet the Residents. Bertie, Deano and Ronnie were showered with lots of cuddles from Residents who were delighted to meet the-four legged friends and were reluctant to let them leave.

One of the Residents, Jill, remarked, “Can we keep him? How lovely!”

Everyone enjoyed the chance to pet, cuddle and reminisce about their own pets.

Fiona, Manager, commented, “What a good experience. We can try to do this again because the dogs certainly created a very positive atmosphere.”

Today was National Bow Tie day and Residents and Colleagues sported some very colourful bow ties to mark the occasions. Some also designed their own during the activities sessions and everyone chuckled and giggled at the crazy designs.

Colleague Rachel said, “So simple but effective to make everyone smile and laugh due to these funny bow ties!”
