In honour of the festival of Eid, the Residents and Colleagues at Old Gates residential, nursing and nursing dementia care home, in Feniscowles, enjoyed a day of celebrations.
The day’s activities included a celebratory meal (cooked by Chef David Easton), mehndi, Eid decorations and some traditional music.
The family of Mrs Khatija Khan, who is a Resident at the home, wrote an email praising Colleagues for going the extra mile to make Eid a joyful day for the home’s Muslim Residents.
One care home Colleague, said, “It was lovely to celebrate Eid and to help our Muslim Residents to celebrate their special holy day in the most authentic ways possible.”
