Residents at HC-One’s Millbrook care home in Stalybridge, Tameside indulged their taste buds in a delicious cheese and wine tasting session.
Everyone gathered for a cheese and wine tasting experience, a spread of cheeses including caramelised onion and rioja cheddar, Irish whiskey and stem ginger and a traditional creamy Cheshire cheese.
The cheeses were accompanied by three different bottles of wine and some crackers, Residents enjoyed choosing different pairings of wine and cheese while chatting about which ones they thought complimented each other the most.
Some adventurous Residents sampled every flavour of cheese while others opted for their favourite flavours, at the end of the tasting session each Resident shared their favourite pairing with the group.
Millbrook Resident, May, commented: “I’ve never tried this type of cheese before, I really enjoyed them.”
