Residents at residential and nursing care home,
Daneside Court, in Northwich, have had a fantastic afternoon today as the one and only Elvis Presley put on a show.
Entertainer Ivan Kingsley performed as Elvis outside for all Residents. The audience’s claps and cheers could be heard across the River Dane; so much so as people passing along the river stopped to join in!
Elvis rocked the afternoon away; hips were shaking, arms were waving and a few of the Residents dressed wearing sunglasses with sideburns and blow-up musical instruments, getting into the swing of things!
What a treat for Residents, their families, and staff; it was time to let everyone’s hair down as Elvis dazzled with his singing, shaking those hips and with his amazing performance to Residents.
Refreshments and Las Vegas cupcakes were severed to finish the afternoon and everyone was very happy.
Home Manager, Samantha Farahat, commented, “The sun shone creating a delightful afternoon, whilst Ivan sang to our Residents they cheered at his performance.”
Sharon Lelonek, Wellbeing Coordinator, added, “Our Residents danced and sang their hearts out. Seeing the Residents so happy and taking part by wearing the props was magical in every way.”
